To query our database for scientific names within the Brassicaceae family please use the Query field.
When you start typing it will provide suggestions of names beginnig with what you typed.
These might be on any taxonomic level, (super)tribes, genera, species.
If you click on one of the suggestions you will get a summary card for your chosen scientific plant name.
Keyboard shortcuts
- [Cursor up/down] - highlight suggestions
- [Space] - select highlighted suggestion (like clicking)
- [Cursor right] - transfer the hightlighted suggestion to the query field
- [Return] - Start a search with what is currently in the query field even if partial
Search result
The result of a freetext search (sent with the Return key) will be comprised of all scientific names that fit
the search query including their parent entries up to (super)tribe level. If you mouse-over a taxonomic name entry the
respective detail card will be displayed to the right.
Tribes and genera
The buttons in the top row labelled accordingly will give you an overview of all names of the given taxonomic level.
Displayed in the form of a freetext search (s.a.).
Statistics
The statistics button will provide you with some current database entry counts in the form of simple bar graphs.
